A good time was had by all as community supporters joined the Putnam City Public Schools Foundation for our 12th annual fund-raiser golf tournament at Twin Hills Golf & Country Club on Monday, September 22nd. This year, the players and hole sponsors helped us raise over $20,000 to benefit the teachers and students of our district.
Over the last 20 years, the Putnam City Public Schools foundation has invested more than $1 million in Putnam City schools. We've helped enhance education in ways such as:
- Building high school cultures that foster learning, communication and support
- Creating student excitement about reading books and writing stories
- Recognizing excellence in and awarding scholarships to students and teachers
Our golf teams included: Architecture, Inc., AT&T, BMI, Chesapeake Energy, Hall Estill, Hunter Mechanical, IBC Bank, Image Works, Independent Insurance Agents, Insurance Agency of MidAmerica, Josten's, KFOR-TV, Kysar Krew, MAC Systems, Midfirst Bank, Midlands Management, NW Chamber, Rose Rock/Union Bank, Spirit Bank, Tinker Federal Credit Union and Wells Nelson.

Winners of the tournament were: 1st place-Kysar Krew, 2nd place-KFOR-TV/Milbourn Taylor Group, 3rd place-Architecture, Inc., 4th place-NW Chamber, 5th place-Midfirst Bank. Other winners included Stephanie Treadway & Bart Daniel for longest drive. Each received a $100 gift certificate donated by Image Works; Steve Adkins won a golf bag donated by International Golf for getting closest to the hole; and our IBC Bank team received ball retrievers, also donated by International Golf.
