The Putnam City Foundation would like to introduce our two new board members for the 2008/2009 school year.
Mr. Mark McCoy attended Putnam City schools from kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating from PC High School in 1979. Mark attended college at the University of Chicago, where he graduated in 1983 with a B.A. with honors in German Language and Literature. In 1984 he was selected to be a participant in the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program in Wels, Austria.
After working in investment banking in New York for seven years, Mark moved back to Oklahoma, where he taught German from 1992 to 1998 at Putnam City High. He received the honor of Putnam City District Teacher of the Year in 1997, and was a finalist for Oklahoma State Teacher of the Year.
Mark is currently a vice president at Bank of Oklahoma, where he is regional manager in the Corporate Trust department. He and his wife Laurie (who also graduated from PC High School, and taught at Mayfield Middle School) have three girls, ages 21, 11 and 8. Welcome aboard, Mark!
We are also pleased to welcome Kristy Steiner to the PC Foundation Board of Directors.
After graduating from Union City High School in 1985, Kristy began working in the banking industry. She is currently employed at BancFirst, where she is vice president of the Business Banking Department.
Kristy has been involved in school PTA's since her daughter started elementary school. She has served as treasurer, secretary, president, council delegate and last year served as vice president of Putnam City PTA Council.
Kristy's daughter, Alyson Stejskal, will be a sophomore at Putnam City North High School this year. Husband David is a sergeant and drug enforcement instructor for the Oklahoma City Police Department.
We are pleased to have both of these outstanding individuals join the Putnam City Foundation Board!
