Putnam City - Public Schools Foundation

The Scholarships Committee is pleased to announce this year's recipients of the following Putnam City Foundation sponsored scholarships:

Carol Casey Scholarship ($1500)-To honor the memory of Carol Casey, former Putnam City nurse and Health Services Coordinator, by providing scholarships to deserving Putnam City Public School District high school senior students who wish to study in the health care field.

2008 Recipient-Charissa Lee Parker, Putnam City North

Ralph Downs Scholarship ($500)-Established to honor the memory of C. Ralph Downs, former teacher, counselor, principal and superintendent, by providing scholarships to deserving Putnam City district faculty members who wish to take graduate or undergraduate courses in administration or counseling.

2008 Recipient-Kirk Gibbons, 3rd grade teacher and department head at Hilldale Elementary

Roberta Jo Lowe Scholarship ($500)-Established to honor the memory of Roberta Jo Lowe, former faculty member of Hefner Middle School by providing scholarships to deserving Putnam City district faculty members who wish to take graduate or undergraduate courses in academic subject areas in the following priority order:  Mathematics; Biology/Physical Science; Any classic or foreign language; English; Geography; Economics; Political Science; History; Other

2008 Recipient-Joanne Peterson, Science Teacher at Putnam City High School
