School Site Grant-"Hearing Each Lesson: All Ears Aboard"

Each year, the Putnam City Public Schools Foundation awards school site grants from $500 to $10,000 to schools requesting funds to help enhance and enrich educational opportunities.  Through the grant, "Hearing Each Lesson:  All Ears Aboard", the Foundation awarded $1,500 this year to Ralph Downs Elementary School to help them purchase two Front Row to Go amplification systems for their fourth grade classrooms.  Some of the quotes from students affected by these amplification systems were:

"I could hear the directions.  I could do things correctly.  It was easier to hear.  I think it could make me a better student."

"I think the amp system helped.  You can hear things better and that is a good way to effect learning."

As for the future of this project, teachers Angela Kwok and Laura Falling, writers of the amplification grant, stated that the Front Row classroom amplification system will continue to increase student's attentiveness and ability to focus during the Language Arts lessons.
