Teachers of the year from Putnam City's 27 schools will be honored at the annual Teacher of the Year reception beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2nd at NEWCHURCH, 9201 North Rockwell (corner of Rockwell and Britton Road).
Teachers from each school being honored as their school's "Teacher of the Year" are as follows:

Teachers of the Year are chosen by each school's teaching staff. District Teacher of the Year is selected by the district's professional development committee. To qualify for the district award, they must be judged by the committee to be exceptionally skillful and dedicated classroom teachers, demonstrate vigorous, creative and imaginative teaching on a day-to-day basis, and have the high esteem of students, parents and co-workers. They must also be active in their communities. District Teacher of the Year will be announced at the awards ceremony on March 2nd.
